OUR BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE
The idea of opening a barbers shop had always been with Jin, unfortunately coming from a small remote fishing village opportunities for a young girl were few and far between when she graduated from college. Jin was lucky enough to be offered a position with the Bangkok Bank, which she eagerly accepted, and worked there for many years in their insurance department. However her heart was not in it and she always envisaged one day opening her own barbers shop. Over the years Jin was transferred with the bank to many branches throughout Thailand and when she finally arrive in Hua Hin she knew that this was the place that she wanted to open her own barbers shop. She quit her job, enrolled in hairdressing school and when she qualified gained valuable experience in salons in Bangkok, Khon Kaen, Koh Samui and Phuket and finally returned to Hua Hin to open up her own shop, Jins Barber Shop.
Because Hua Hin is a tourist town the majority of her customers are overseas holiday visitors or foreign nationals living in Thailand, although the word is now getting around and many local Thais are starting to realise that it's well worth a trip to downtown Hua Hin to get a great haircut. Jin speaks Thai, English, and Issan and understands the grooming needs of both Thais and foreign visitors.
This is Jins first hairdressing venture but she envisages in the future opening a chain of barber shops in tourist areas throughout Thailand to cater for the many Farangs who come to visit or already call Thailand home.
